Firstcourt Backup Monitor
One of the most important things about backups is they need to be done, and it is important that they are checked daily.
In many organisations, especially those without dedicated IT staff, this does not happen as reliably as it should. To make matters worse, often the first that senior managers know about any problem is when a backup tape is needed and it turns out that the backup was never done, or failed to complete.
Firstcourt can now provide the Backup Monitor service, where we take on the work of checking backups have been done. To do this, we configure the backup software to send alerts and reports directly to Firstcourt. If there are any problems, we will contact you and advise you what needs to be done.
We will also provide regular non technical reports for senior management to show how effectively systems are being backed up.
The Backup Monitor service is available on an annual subscription.
