Voice and Data Cabling
Flood wiring an office with cabling is in many ways a simple exercise, but it is one where it is very costly to rectify mistakes late in the day.
Firstcourt can help with the requirements, planning and installation to ensure a smooth cabling installation that meets the needs of the business.
For any cabling project, various sections of cabling need to be considered: horizontal cabling to desks, usually underfloor or perimeter trunking special points such as for Wi Fi connections or in meeting rooms backbone/vertical cabling (often fibre not copper) special telephone connections ink cabling and boxes for BT and other telco services containment of cabling to meet landlord and fire requirements
For all cabling work, Firstcourt will: With cabling contractor, identify all cable routes Plan outlet numbering scheme Identify outlet type (e.g. floorbox, dado trunking, wall mount) Plan layout of patching cabinet Produce floor plan of outlet locations With cabling contractor produce cable route plans Arrange finishing and making good as required Supervise installation and sign off test reports Liaise with electricians as required
When working on an office fit out or refurbishment, Firstcourt will also : Work with the fit out site and project managers to identify the best schedule for first and second fix work Coordinate cabling with electrical, AV and telecoms work Plan with other aspects of the build, e.g. server rooms
