Desktop Technology Design
For an office fit out, the design of the users’ workstations are surprisingly complex. Firstcourt perform a number of critical coordination functions to ensure a successful design.
Working with your furniture supplier, we ensure that desks are appropriate for the equipment that will be installed on them, but also we look at cable routes and power distribution, as well as access for maintenance of IT and electrical services. Part of this design looks at how power and data are connected to the building infrastructure - for example, different desk configurations are required for perimeter cabled offices to those using floor boxes. Particular issues with furniture arise in meeting rooms, with both conference tables and credenzas having specialist requirements for IT and power.
We work with your electrician on the supply of power to desks and other locations where equipment will be situated (printers, fax machines, copiers, franking machines etc).
Finally, we work with you on space planning, looking at the requirements for the location of shared facilities such as printers and faxes, ensuring that services can be provided initially and that there is flexibility for the future.
We also review peripheral items such as screens, keyboards and mice, including how they are cabled and will advise on the overall workstation setup. |

PC Supply tendering
For a desktop refresh of the PC hardware, Firstcourt can manage the process of obtaining tenders for the supply of equipment. We can also help plan and implement the installation of large number of PCs and associated equipment in a short space of time. These projects may also include software updates to existing hardware. |
