Electrical Planning and Specifications
One of the more complex elements of any office fit out or significant refurbishment is the specification of electrical requirements.
While main contractors and electrical subcontractors install supplies day in day out, they are reliant on the client to specify how much power, and detail the locations of outlets. This exercise is surprisingly hard to get right as it requires experience of calculating power requirements for both existing and future IT equipment, as well as having more detailed plans of the use of space than are provided to the fit out contractors by the architects.
Firstcourt can calculate and provide the required information to the fit out contractors, and discuss any potential issues with them, and translate any restrictions as to what they can install into meaningful business limitations for the client. |

Small Power
Provision of small power (supplies to desks and general office outlets) is mostly a case of defining locations, and in some cases outlet type. Firstcourt will work with you to specify:
• Overall layout of power outlets • Number of outlets per circuit • Power distribution within desks/workstation furniture • Cleaner points • Specialist points for AV equipment, networking equipment |

Server room power
Modern server rooms, or even single racks, consume vast amounts of power. Once that power has been supplied, it has to be distributed around the equipment. Firstcourt will specify:
• Power per rack • Total power for room, and subsequent cooling specs • Requirements for redundancy • Power distribution within room • UPS and backup power design
