Office fit out - technology
When fitting out a new office, infrastructure for technology is as crucial as supplying power, lighting and heating.
Many fit out companies have provision of items such as server rooms, voice and data cabling and audio visual services on their list of skills, and in most cases they are perfectly capable of installing some or all of these.
Installation of infrastructure is not the same as being able to specify and design an appropriate solution however, and they will need clear guidance from the client. However most organisations do not have skills or experience in these areas either - the whole point about infrastructure is that it is already in place as part of the assumed fabric of an office.
Based on many years experience, Firstcourt will work with you to identify your business requirements, and then use this information to provide specifications to contractors and architects.
Firstcourt will normally be involved from the early stages with the architects drawing up plans to ensure space for IT equipment and also to plan provision of services such as power, data, communications and air conditioning.
Following that, Firstcourt will normally attend site meetings as the fit out progresses to deal with any issues that arise and supervise the work. During this stage it is common for Firstcourt to directly manage some contractors and oversee telecoms installations, liaising between these suppliers and the site manager.
Firstcourt will also manage the technical aspects that fall to your in house IT staff such as internet and telephony provision and selection, purchase and installation of end user technology such as computers, printers and copiers, televisions and displays and even whole telephone systems.
